There are various musical instrument auctions around the country but the best by far, in my opinion, is at Gardiner Houlgate. They hold quarterly sales and have a vast knowledge of guitars – so you get exactly what is described – not always the case with other venues.
It is a great place to find unusual and lesser-known models and brands and also see some high-end vintage guitars. Viewing is essential and well worth a visit. There are often 500 – 600 guitars that can be tried, amps, pedals, recording equipment and various other music related kit. Hammer prices can vary from £20 – £200,000+ and every lot can be demonstrated pre-sale. NCG Guitars will be at Gardiner Houlgate on 4th December 2024.
