The NCG Mule is our latest design for 2025, handmade in our Nottingham workshop. We wanted an instrument along more linear lines and after much debate and prototyping, settled on the current design, which has been well received.
The guitar is solid bodied, hand carved and lightly distressed. This particular instrument is Obeche. A new feature is the machined aluminium control plate, slightly recessed in to the top. Controls provide standard 3 way switching, volume x 2, tone x 1.
As with most of our designs the guitar is Bigsby ready. Cost of a workshop fitted B5 is £190, aged if you wish.
Our concepts are original and evolving. Where possible we incorporate as many parts of our own design and manufacture.
We only use top-quality materials and woods and try always try to source in the UK. We have developed our own range of bespoke bridges, along with neck plates, sand cast aluminium parts, control plates, string trees, string ferrule blocks, strap buttons and the aluminium NCG T-Bar. All metal hardware is made locally in Nottingham or Birmingham. NCG bridges and parts are available to buy separately, please enquire.

Some guitars are made from reclaimed woods and no two instruments are the same. It’s the small detail that makes all the difference, such as bespoke metal work, celluloid binding, custom decals, handmade celluloid pick guards, engraved switch rings – handmade in Newcastle-upon-Tyne – or the Haramis knobs, admittedly all the way from New Jersey. A variety of quality hand wound pickups are available and guitars can be customised to order.
