Here’s the deal: every guitar, acoustic, electric or bass, is guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase. Used amps and effects are guaranteed for 3 months. New hardware, amps & effects for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Some vintage / used guitars may have cosmetic damage. This will be highlighted and documented. Every instrument is photographed and catalogued before being offered for sale. Should a guitar, amp or effect be defective, we will repair it with similar parts, replace it with a similar instrument of value & quality, or refund the purchase price at our discretion. The guitar is to be returned to Nottingham City Guitars at the buyer’s expense. We do not guarantee used pickups or electronic parts, PCBs or active circuits in guitars. Pickups do occasionally fail.
NCG Guitars are often manufactured with ageing and play wear. This is intentional and not covered by the guarantee.
Nitro-cellulose and celluloid products. Cracking, crazing and shrinkage, including to finishes, pickguards and bindings, is not covered by the guarantee. This is an inherent issue with such materials. It may take years to develop, or not at all.
Damage due to wear, transportation, impact, fall, liquids, weather or moisture, temperature changes, tampering, battery leakage or chemical corrosion, incorrect use, repair, set-up, re-stringing or pre-purchase faults are excluded. The guarantee is not applicable to instrument cases or instrument finishes.
Our hand wound pickups are guaranteed for life to the original purchaser only. We will repair or replace the pickup free of charge, subject to the above exclusions. If you purchase pickups and are not happy with the product, they can be returned for a full refund within seven days. Pickups to be returned to Nottingham City Guitars with the postage paid at the buyer’s expense.
Guarantee terms for amplifiers and speakers vary and will be agreed with the purchaser prior to sale. Please see our returns policy under T&Cs. We require at least 24 hours’ notice of any return prior to shipping by the customer. The guarantee is not assignable or transferable. Customers’ statutory rights are not affected.
