The NCG Mule is one of our recent designs, handmade in our Nottingham workshop. We wanted an instrument along more linear lines and after much debate and prototyping, settled on the current design, which has been well received.
The guitar is solid bodied, hand carved and lightly distressed. This particular instrument is Obeche. A new feature is the sand-cast aluminium control plate, which is hand finished and aged with amber lacquer. Controls provide standard 3 way switching, volume x 2, tone x 1, with treble bleed.
As with most of our designs the guitar is Bigsby ready. Cost of a workshop fitted B5 is £190, aged if you wish.
Our concepts are original and evolving. Where possible we incorporate parts of our own design and manufacture.
We only use top-quality materials and woods and try always try to source in the UK. We have developed our own range of bespoke bridges, along with neck plates, sand cast aluminium parts, control plates, string trees, string ferrule blocks, strap buttons and the aluminium NCG T-Bar. All metal hardware is made locally in Nottingham or Birmingham. NCG parts are available to buy separately, please enquire.
